Why the details matter
Modern European and luxury vehicles may combine a mechanical emergency blade, encrypted transponder, proximity function, immobilizer, and modules that control access or starting. Some systems allow an additional key to be programmed when a working key remains. An all-keys-lost case can require a different assessment. Key availability also changes by model and production year.
That is why a promise to “make any luxury key in 20 minutes” should raise questions. A careful locksmith first identifies the vehicle, confirms compatible parts and equipment, and explains what can be done on site.
What to have ready before calling
Provide the full year, make, model, and, if available, the VIN. Say whether any key still starts the car, whether the car is locked, and what the dashboard reports. A photo of the current key can help distinguish versions, but a photo is not a substitute for checking compatibility.
For BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Ferrari, and other premium makes, support varies substantially by vehicle. Franco’s does not assume that a brand name alone establishes service availability.

What a mobile visit may involve
The technician may inspect the current key, test vehicle communication, identify the required replacement, and determine whether cutting or programming is possible at the vehicle. Some cases also involve security module or steering lock issues rather than a failed key. Those problems need diagnosis before a replacement is sold as the answer.
On-site service can be valuable when a disabled vehicle is in a Broward or Miami-Dade garage or driveway. We confirm the specific job and location before dispatching, and explain when an alternative repair path is more appropriate.
A better way to compare estimates
Ask what part is being supplied, whether it is compatible with your vehicle, whether programming and testing are included, and what circumstances could change the quoted price. A spare key and an all-keys-lost replacement should not automatically be priced or described as the same job.
Franco’s works on many everyday cars as well as select premium vehicles. Advanced key work is a specialty, not a limit on the vehicles we discuss.
